Have my oldest with me this morning. We are about 150 yards apart in the bottom it's his first hunt of the year. It finally feels like deer season!
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

Walked in blind on some corps land that I haven't hunted before. Not thrilled with my set up but I've got a levee out front full of acorns and the river is 50 yards behind me. If they move I oughta see them

Its raining here in southeast AL......Having to sit this one out. The air feels a whole lot better though. It should set up for a good afternoon hunt once this rain moves out. Deer are probably out moving around and feeding in the rain this morning but I just ain't that mad at 'em yet for me to be sitting out in it too.

Took the day off yesterday. Just got set up about 20 minutes ago. Slept in a little longer on account of watching Bama whip LSU's ass. I'm in the small wood lot beside the county road again. We just had 2 bucks walk between my stand and my sons stand. 10 more yards toward me there would have been bloodshed for the first time this season. But at least we have seen something
