Buddy of mine a few miles away has been seeing deer on his plots midday so I thought if sneak in a midday sit. Not expecting a lot. I spread fertilize on this plot yesterday and probably stunk it up with the walking. Only my 2nd sit of season but woods are getting pretty in N Alabama.

Apparently one came in to the rattle sequence that I had done 30 minutes prior to the one I was doing, was 30 seconds into my rattle when he busted out of the area. he was over in the cutover that is too thick to see anything.

On the edge of a food plot with water oaks on either side of me dropping acorns. Got a good wind and I can get the hell out of here quick if it starts raining very hard. I hope that heifer that did the belly flop on me last Sunday evening shows back up.

Just got up, bout tired of this heat. Sheesh. Anyway, jumped deer walking in...they didn't get too excited, sort of just stood up and walked off. Never blew, never flagged, just walked up the side of a hill. 5 adult does and 2 fawns best I could see.
