"The Bear from the North" is doing exactly what the bible said it would.

Except there is nothing in the Bible that says "Bear from the North."
So let's look at what the Bible DOES say:
In Ezekiel 38-39 we have the as of yet unfulfilled prophecy of the Gog and Magog war against Israel, which occurs after the Second Restoration of Israel (which occurred in 1948). Most Bible prophecy scholars place this war sometime before the 7 year Tribulation. And most would say that that war is what leads to the rise of AntiChrist and the 7 year peace treaty that he helps negotiate with Israel's enemies.
Ezekiel 38 lists BY NAME the countries that will attempt an invasion of annihilation against Israel. Interesting: these are ALL the MUSLIM countries that surround Israel, led by Persia - which is of course now known as Iran.
THEN there is the UNKNOWN party from "the north" known as Gog of the land of Magog, Mesech and Tubal - that SOME prophecy folk **theorize** is Russia.
This is **unknown**.
However, we do know from *history* that the land of Magog, Mesech and Tubal WERE IN ASIA MINOR, not Russia. And of course we all know that Asia Minor is now the country known as Turkey (conquered by the Seljuk and then Ottoman Turks from the Greek Byzantine Empire long ago)(and of course these are Muslim Turks).
So we have the big question: is the Gog leader of the Ezekiel 38 war against Israel Turkey or Russia? or Iran who is definitely a major player in that war.
No one knows. Certainly, Russia's entry into Syria to protect it's one and only Mediterranean sea port looks like Russia may be the Gog player, but Russia is clearly not the Land of Magog, etc. Turkey is. And it's leader Recip Erdogan is an Islamist who has been working 24/7 to turn Turkey away from secularism established by Kemal Ataturk and the Young Turks after WWI. And he sees himself as the rightful leader of any new Muslim world caliphate.
This much is CLEAR: things sure are shaping up very clearly and very quickly for the Ezekiel 38-39 war.
And that war has been made possible and expedited by the Bush II invasion of Iraq in 2003 where basically we handed Iraq on a silver platter to Iran, Obama's abandonment of Iraq and the recent Iran deal that will enrich - and embolden the Iranian leadership.
