Congrats. I'm just a big ole slacker right now. Trying to finish field prep for next years rice crop. Finally finished cutting soybeans and now started cutting 2nd crop of rice. And it's my 7 days to work for sheriffs office. If it rains and cools off some it will be on here next week. Maybe I will get a chance to lay something down.

Well I tried to get a morning hunt in yesterday. After taking over the club this summer and not getting to do much scouting I'm still learning. I did see a few in a cutover just wasn't able to find a tree where I wanted to be.

The hot weather made me stay at home yesterday and then the rain this morning. Going to watch the tide roll this afternoon and work tomorrow. Looks like i wont get to hit the woods again till 16th.

Marsh got us 12 pts today first to get bone on the ground.

Thanks guys. This is my 1st Alabama muzzle loader buck and only the 2nd buck killed with a mz.

Well I almost had my doe but it was too thick for a shot. All I've seen so far this year is a few does and yearlings and one young 6 pt. hopefully things will change in about 3 weeks.

Had 18 does in one of the greenfields in a large pasture the other day. None in the one I was hunting over, though. Been that way most of the season, seeing deer but all out of range. Pretty frustrating, but things will turn here before too long I hope.

I have to confess that I screwed us outa 5 pts. I killed a doe Saturday morning and completely forgot about pics for contest. Sorry guys, I will try my damnest to make up those points.

I'm hunting hard for us fellas just haven't been seeing any bucks. In fact I saw my first and only rack buck the day before thanksgiving. With the rut about to kick off at my Bibb county farm, and the upcoming rut in lee and Macon counties I'm hoping to score some points for the defending champs!

I feel,ya jlbuc10! I've been hunting 4 times and have seen only three young does in range. This weather is hot and that ain't helping either. Maybe things will change soon.

I've been after them hard since the bow opener. To date I've seen more deer than I have ever seen in a season. Lot of small and young bucks, but no shooters yet. I have 2 sets of night shifts coming up around christmas which I'll hunt in the mornings when I get off plus my scheduled days off should line up perfect to kick the rut off. Hopefully all the doe I keep seeing will drag a big one on by me.
