For those who said Moose, ya'll ever eaten any? May be the best meat I ever ate, no doubt the best wild meat, better than Elk and Elk is mighty fine.

I don't have any desire to go to Africa, not even to visit. I wish I had the money to hunt moose, brown bear, sheep, and mountain goats.

We have done the dream hunts now let's do hunts that you care nothing about. Even if it was free. Here are the three I would sale if they were given to me.
If all was free including travel, I'd go to Africa just to sight-see. If I had to pay air-fare, screw it. But if I was going to sale it, it would be: 1. held-by-the-hand guided deer hunt 2. dog-driven deer hunt 3. any fenced hunt

To date, I've shot 44 African species and the toughest, excluding waiting on a leopard to cooperate for 14 days, by far has been the two species of zebra I've hunted. Damn, wouldn't have expected that. What makes them so hard? Just all the eyes and noses in a herd?

There is almost always numerous animals in the herd.
They have eyes better than ours. They have a nose like a bear. They have ears like a deer. Their camo is unreal.

I'm always shocked at those of you that don't want to hunt Africa. If money were no object, I'd do it. I just don't want to spend the money. Those Kudu are awesome animals and that's what I'd go after. Dr. B

If it's not free roaming in the U.S. OF A., I ain't interested. Maybe I'm narrow minded but y'all can have that African bullshit. I'm with you. You're not narrow minded. I sure as heck don't want to go to unruly countries that smell of manure and death. Been to Asia which was bad enough. You can visit a farm or the medical examiner for free to smell manure and death. Africa in general is a third world continent and worse. Life is cheap in third world countries and deadly contagious diseases are normal. You're subject to their rules and if you mess up you're stuck in a foreign prison. You may think you didn't mess up but you may violate their laws without knowing. Then you are stuck in foreign jail that smells worse than the country itself with a hole for a toilet. Plus the snakes and other critters that will kill you instantly or close enough. Not my cup of tea. I'll stick to my country where I know my rights and the language. Jim Shockey can show me all the Africa hunts on tv without risking the diseases or getting bit by a black mamba and dying.

all of the varities of game we killed and ate were excellent table fare. The Eland excelled.

Is it the fact that they can and will eat you?
Naaa, not scared of them just never had the urge to kill one. Not sure why.

all of the varities of game we killed and ate were excellent table fare. The Eland excelled. While I wasn't actually hunting in Africa, I DID serve as a missionary in Uganda for 8 months, and was able to eat some of the game that was hunted around the area. I was able to go on a spear hunt with some locals, and we had some Ugandan Kob, a small antelope species. It was excellent eating. As for hunts I care nothing for... I care nothing for...wait no...so far I'm good hunting anything.

Coons. I absolutely hate to hear those dogs bark. I really don't understand the dislike for Africa. I'm going in August 2017 and cant hardly wait!! I'm the opposite. Love to hear a good race and have no interest in hunting a striped horse.
