don't get the summit open shot. damn thing is a accident waiting to happen. I don't remember the name of it but I have a summit that the front rail drops down for bow hunting. I like it. how much does your viper weigh with all that stuff on it? Thanks for the tip. Not sure of exact weight ... The Molle only adds a pound or two but it distributes the weight like a professional backpack Side bags, front bags, foam fill, foot step, all these things add more weight than the Molle I have the Summit Bushmaster ( http://www.summitstands.com/treestands/c...mmit-bushmaster), it has been discontinued and replaced with the newer models. I have had zero accidents or problems with it. If you wear a harness connected to the tee at all times (climbing, hunting, descending) its not a problem. But the Razor SD ( http://www.summitstands.com/summit-razor-sd-climbing-treestand-mossy-oakr-camo) will most likely be my next one. You can sit and climb, then move bar out of way during the hunt. I'm getting lazy and want to sit and climb and stop having to use my arms and abs to climb. That is the only draw back to an open front, but it is good exercise...
