Yep it sucks. We sent a note to the teacher last week about rounding. Some how 487+213 would round to 500+210. And the directions just said round. I had to ask round to what. Their is no method to the math madness for a 3rd grader. I'm guessing the math teacher doesn't understand common core math either (which wouldn't surprise me). Unless you are told to round to the "nearest whatever", there is no way to know how to do the problem.
