I've never understood the desire to shoot a lion. I'm not at all opposed to somebody else doing it. To each his own.
When I went on a jeep Safari in Kenya, you could pretty much drive right up to them. You can drive right up to deer at Guntersville State Park too, do you hunt deer???? They will walk right up to you in Liberty Park too. My understanding is that if you know the right people you can hunt there. It's even been rumored you can pay to hunt the surrounding areas.
