A good hunting buddy of mine moved to kentucky this past year. I went up and turkey hunted some wmas with him, and in doing so, found a ton of deer sign, saw a bunch, was shown multiple pictures of booners taken there, etc.
Decided to focus my attention up there instead of joining a club in bama this year.
We have since placed some cameras out, done some scouting etc. I'm going back up in 2 weeks to put out more cameras and possibly start hanging some stands.
The area is made up of about 75% woods, 25% fields. Fairly hilly, bow only.
Does anyone have any tips as to what to focus on in my scouting during the summer months? Or any differences in hunting up there compared to here?
This will be my first time hunting the midwest for deer. Thus far, I've treated it as if I was scouting here. Try to find bedding areas, find the fields that are planted in beans, and use a topo to pin point travel routes in between.
Any and all advice for midwest hunting, specifically public, is appreciated.

I don't scout deer in the summer, so I can't help you there. Look for the same things up there as you would here. Focus on food and fresh sign during the season and you'll be set. Good luck.
