I use a lineman's belt at the top of my sticks to attach to the tree... and hang the stand that way when I pack one in. I have a cam-buckle strap that I use around it rather than a ratchet strap. Never had issues with it being wobbly with that set. Do you pull the stand up to the top with a pull rope or climb the sticks with the stand on your back? I use the lightest aluminum stand they sell... so I just climb the sticks with the stand on my back. [/quote] I've got a couple of extra brackets and lots of climbing sticks so I may try that this year. I thought about having two separate pull ropes, one for the stand and another for my bow. I like the cam-buckle idea. A lot quieter than ratchet strap.
