*As a side note: do you have to dress like a clown and drive a speed boat to be a professional "B.A.S.S" fisherman? I cant even watch that stuff.
Yes to to the dress like a clown part. What you see on TV is advertising for sponsors. The boats and shirts are all part of promotional material for sponsors. As for a speed boat, there are pontoon boats and jet skis that will run 60-70 mph which is what most bass boats run so I don't think they classify as speed boats.

LOL!...there's an old saying, "Only two kinds of people wear sunglasses indoors: Blind people and a$$holes!" Well I feel the same way about local fishermen. Only two kinds of people wear fishing jerseys: Professionals and a$$holes.
My $.02 about two matters- First, the high school fishing fad nowadays is a crock of crap...it just boils down to which team has the best guide (er, I mean dad). If you wanna go fishin with your boys/girls, then just go fishing with them. If you want to tournament fish with them, then sign up for a tournament. We are not creating any better fishermen than ever before, we're just crowding the lakes even worse. Which is my second point- The biggest issue today is simply overcrowding. Everybody and their mama has a bass boat, and there's multipl tournaments on every lake every weekend. It's a combination of a diluted pool of fishermen who don't have any etiquete, and then just simply a numbers game...when there's THAT many people on the lake every day, then it's inevitable you and 25 other guys were going to the same spot.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

I agree. Fishing AND Hunting has turned into nothing more than a circus. This is why I gravitate to the most remote areas I can find, both for hunting and fishing. I try to avoid people at all costs. Out West, National Forests, Wilderness Areas and small, overlooked creeks are the areas I now frequent. Hunting clubs and Large Reservoirs are at the bottom of my list.
*As a side note: do you have to dress like a clown and drive a speed boat to be a professional "B.A.S.S" fisherman? I cant even watch that stuff. What kind of truck you drive? What do you wear to work?? uh,,,Khakis. And a Tundra. But I dont fish out of it. And I dont work out of it. I just dont get your logic. Wait, its not a logical comparison. Now I get it.

Well there is my point. Why don't you use a F150 and wear blue jeans??? Cause it's your money and your choice. That's why. It's pussy ass men that set on the computer and whine that's the problem. If someone really pisses me off on the water. Hell, I'll troll over and tell them about. Clothes and boats are about choices. I sorry you suck at life.

And If a I ask a guy nicely what basic lure he is throwing, and he tells me that.. Yea He's fixing to hear a comment about his wife, and he aint gonna like it..... That makes you part of the problem as well.

alotta people might or might not like me for the same reason DW . But honestly who would think someone was actually fishing out of a kayak on a public lake in Alabama? Heck there are waves out there that will nearly sink a 14 ft. john boat. And also some EGOTISTIC ROWBOATERS that need some doghnuts cut around them for awhile.

But honestly who would think someone was actually fishing out of a kayak on a public lake in Alabama? A lot of people fish from kayaks here in Alabama from north to the Gulf, and more of them are doing so every year. They're very stable and easy to maneuver, either with paddles or with the pedal system like in some Hobie models. Folks use kayaks on the oceans so they're probably fine for some itty bitty reservoir waves. They deserve every courtesy on the water by anglers just like someone in a big bass rig.

The HillBilly Jackasses have represented well in this thread, and also proven why I avoid Reservoirs and Hunting Clubs. You stay down there and play naked and afraid and leave us hillbilly jackasses alone.
