Just giving anyone who's coming down in the future a recommendation... Big Fish in Orange Beach is FANTASTIC. As a local im hard to impress when it comes to seafood. But it's absolutely great. Probably the best place down here.
Anyway, its on Canal road close to the T, kinda caddy corner to Doc's. Its in a strip mall amd doesn't look like much on the outside, but its really nice on the inside. Priced about the same as everything else in this area, but maybe a touch higher, but well worth it.
Just some fyi for the guys i see on here asking sometimes.
Turkeys be damned.

Ate there Friday night, Been eating there for years. Lek and his wife are great and I agree best food on the gulf! A little FYI, Lek's dad owned and operated Nikis, the restaurant up canal close to the wharf that had the all you can eat popcorn shrimp.

Thanks for the recommendation. We got into town yesterday at lunch and headed straight for Doc's. I saw Big Fish on my way to J&M and wondered about it.

We don't eat out much but I've seen that place and have wondered about it. It's right behind bravo taco. We'll try it this fall when the crowds die down.

This past week--Triggers (across bridge at Oyster Bar and right at first traffic light). Food was good. Small portions though, french fries were about 3 or 4 minutes coming out after the main course, and they crammed about 60 or so people into the right dining area and had no one in the left area. Very loud sitting right next to the kitchen. One of our favorites, but now off the list. Oyster Bar--Good as normal. A little high and beer wasn't nearly cold enough. Right side before you cross bridge on the right. Shrimp Basket--Normal. Good, reasonable, close by. (Most places) Doc's--Good. Very good gumbo. They did run us out when only 3 of our party of 6 had shown up. (Even after we told them they were 2 minutes away.) But, hey, I had a beer and it was a short wait. At the intersection of one road and another. (heck you know) Sunset grille--Good. Fair price. Cold beer. (Turn north, west of Lillians Pizza. Follow road to Y and follow signs) Best of all, boiled shrip night at the condo. Ate some more shrimps. Also had some smoked tuna dip for appetizer and dessert. I'll never get over, though, why folks can't bring out cold beer. I don't like it "just cool." We will do a little more eating at the condo in the fall. Lots of money down the tube, but in most cases we were paying for 6.

I haven't been down there in a few years. Can you still get all you can eat fried mullet at The Point? That used to be some good paper plate dining.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Tip. We skip breakfast and always go to eat about 3 in the afternoon. Never a line and good service. By the time we finish places are packed and lines are long. If a storm blows in, lines get long quick, so sit on the balcony, enjoy a cold beverage and order pizza When we eat out its for lunch. We order enough to have leftovers for supper.
