Got one yesterday for my Egg. I got the one for the Large BGE. Actually the wife bought it for fathers day so it was an early present.
After one use I give it a A- / B+
Could be bigger.
It won't hold up for a long low and slow cook where you need to fill the fire box.
I do like the added air flow for starting the egg.
I like just shaking the basket and lighting up.
Solid construction and Made in USA.

I got a Looftlighter as well but I ain't keeping it.
1. I don't like the name
2. I can get a heat gun to do the same thing.

Fast forward to 33s mark

I wish you would have posted this a month or so ago. I had to purchase a new cast iron grate. I could have killed 2 stones...

Does it appear that it will hold up well? It gets hot down there.

I have a steel grate that I use. You would still want the grate for the long cooks IMO. If you fill the fire box then you would easily cover the basket.

It does look like it could be bigger, but it would be nice. I hate having to clean my fire box, and don't do it nearly as often as I should.

I've been thinking about purchasing one of these for my large.

It certainly takes the hassle out of cleaning the firebox. I'm liking it. I see several folks using a large in a XL to keep the coals from spreading.
Good Purchase in my book.

I got one for Fathers day, and tried it out for the first time last night. I like it. I had forgotten how much better the grill works whit the firebox cleaned out, and this will definitely make it easier to do that.
