same way you train any dog to do anything...you reward em for doing what you want...repeatedly...just a few minutes every day.
I started her playing with sheds, then throwing em for her to fetch. She took to it like a natural. She will find sheds on her own and bring em to the front porch. If she does that I throw em for her and give her a treat when she brings em to me.
and she's under six months old.... I thought you said she was 5 years old? Which is it, 5 y/o or 6 months? 
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Dang, went back and looked, I did say five YEARS, but she really is only five MONTHS old right now, ya might stretch it to six MONTHS as I'm not sure when she was born,,,going by what my vet said.

That's awesome! I wish my Chihuahua/shiatsu mix could do it. I am not sure she is big enough to pick one up. She's a great red neck dog though. Loves mud and riding on the four-wheeler's. Might have to give it a shot.

reupdate.......Coco found another big shed yesterday, four point with heavy bases.
