stupid electronic "shift on the fly" 4wd is what's causing me so much grief in my F150 right now...

I'd like to know who the first idiot was to sit in a board room meeting and say "Hey, let's take this feature that's sole purpose is to be used in mud/water/snow/ice, and make it all electric" and I'd like to kick that chit-for-brains right square in the nuts.


If I'm not mistaken ford has had issues with the vacuum lines on the 4wd selector,my buddies wouldn't go into 4wd if it was below 35 degrees


They do. They also have problems with the electric motor that actually shifts the transfer case or, as is likely my problem, the transfer case shift relay thing that is in the dash behind the radio and nearly impossible to access. I'm convinced Ford did that intentionally so you would have to bring it in to fix it if/when it quit working, instead of fixing it yourself.
