Or you can buy a quart bottle of Polaris (generic arsenal) for $32 and mix 41% Gly and now you're laying the smack down on some weeds! Just watch the trees for you folks that don't know better... Yeah I've been told if you spray Imazapyr (Arsenal, Chopper, Polaris, etc) within DOUBLE the drip line, you can kill the **** out of MATURE hardwood trees. The drip line, for those who don't know, is the furthest point branches or limbs get from the trunk (imagine where the tree would shade the ground to with the sun directly overhead). Imazapyr sprayed within this line (NOT NECESSARILY on the tree or its leaves directly) can be injurious or fatal to hardwoods. Now imagine DOUBLING that distance. Allegedly THATS how close you can spray Imazapyr to a hardwood and kill it. Imazapyr also has a LONG residual. Spray it on a slope and get ready to watch a new Grand Canyon begin to form. Roundup is one thing, and can be very damaging with ham fisted, uninformed use, but it's like comparing big firecrackers to a military mortar when you're talking about Imazapyr. You could EASILY do $100k of damage with $100 worth of it. Be careful fella's. Unless I'm mistaken it's a restricted use herbicide as well. Wonder how many plotters on here have a license for it? I don't. I've got the books from Auburn, but haven't taken the USDA course to get the license.
