I started a mineral lick at my place mid summer of last year and I really could not tell that it got a lot of use. That may have been because I started it so late in the year.

I put out 100# of loose white salt and 50# of loose red cattle type mineral and mixed it in with the soil that I loosened up with a hoe.

I plan to refresh this spot in the next day or so and I'd like to put out something that will draw the deer in so I can get camera PICS. I also want to use something that will be beneficial to the deer.

I have seen licks where there were holes big enough to drive a 4 wheeler into. I want one like that on my place.

So, what do I need to put into this lick? Y'all tell me what to use and I'll get it bought this week and put it out.
