Aight then! I'm here. Hope y'all boys are ready to knock a few down!
I hunt mainly in Jefferson and Shelby counties. Got plane tickets to Texas April 6th - 10th. Surely I can pull three out of that! wink

Possible team names??
Waddle wackers
Beak busters
Head thumpers
Yelp, sneak, or deks
Heck, I don't know. They all sound corny to me. Just some ideas. We can be team 19 as far as I'm concerned.

I'm here. Just got back from the youth hunt.
I'm slap give out. Been running on E for a few days.

Didn't hear any gobbling and the birds I did see didn't react to calling any yet. Hope we get a few days of good weather. My first day to hunt will be the 17th.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

This warm rainy week will have em ready to play once it clears up. John I usually don't enter the contest deer or turkey but I got a good feeling we got a good team now.

N2, u better shape up! Lol! We got a LONG way to go! Ha!
Almost everybody I've talked to says they just ain't ready yet. Maybe this warmer weather will do it. As we all know, they won't get fired up til 1st of April, but sometimes they'll be a lonely/suicidal one or two before then.
Only time I've seen them fired up right off the bat was 3 years ago when it didn't get below 40 hardly all winter and it was 80 degrees opening day.

Me too! I think it was for a lot of people. They acted like they were supposed to act! I keep hoping every year will be that way, but the last two have slowed way down for me. It may be my second child that has slowed me down, and the turkeys are the same?? laugh
