Wade I add the buffer to my weighed shot before I place in the hull.
This is definitely the better deal. I put my measured shot charges in medicine cups, pour the measured buffer over it, and then gently shake the cup to distribute the buffer throughout the shot. Much, much easier than trying to vibrate it down.
