Todd1700 I just hope as far as your concerned that if something ever happens to one of your loved ones that others give them the benefit of the doubt till the investigation is done. The players and their families have the ability to speak out for themselves when and if they choose. She may or may not have been the victim here but unless you were there you do not know either. She is putting her side out there and and sooner or later the facts will surface. And then and only then should anything be done to anyone involved. Also I have not seen but I might have missed anyone trying to dig into the players past like some seemed intent on doing from the minute the story broke on the girl.

Why should only one side of a story be given the benefit of the doubt?

Why should only one side of a story be given the benefit of the doubt? Ok have you spent as much time researching the pasts of the football players as you and other people sitting at their computer or cell phone has on the girl? Again I don't know the whole story and neither do you but just because some people were calling for the players to be kicked off the team without due process which is wrong too I did not try to discredit the girl either.....

Auburn sent out a report today that after investigating the incident, they do not believe either player purposely disrespected the woman or dog. They don't want to hear that, too much crow to eat!

I will hold off on the crow. http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.s...related_storiesthe two players tried to get her dog's attention, she asked them to stop and they responded by raising their voices and using a profane word.
Sounds like the yelling and calling her a "bitch" happened to me. The statement said that "neither of the student-athletes did anything with disrespectful intent." Interesting. I wonder what Auburn University considers "direspectful intent"? Sounds to me like both parties were at fault with the girl overreacting and players being reactive. I just wonder how you call a woman a "bitch" respectfully? Either way I'm not buying that dung the University if pushing.

Where does it say they called her a bitch? I missed that in the link provided. Either way I'm not buying that dung the University if pushing. What a shock. Which team is it you pull for again? LOL! I would concede to you BC that Auburn fans would probably be just as cynical towards two bama players accused of this same thing if it weren't for one simple fact. An event of this utterly un-newsworthy insignificance that occurred on Alabama's campus would have never been picked up by the state media and reported in the first place. Therefore we wouldn't have had the opportunity to be cynical about it. But because it was Auburn they not only ran with it but posted headlines that made it sound like two auburn players ran up behind a blind 87 year old WW2 vet; kicked his seeing eye dog; then dashed a pan of hot urine on him. The reality of course was much more mundane. Sounds to me like both parties were at fault with the girl overreacting and players being reactive. I just wonder how you call a woman a "bitch" respectfully? There is no evidence she was called that name. The only accounts I have seen by a person not directly involved stated that one of the players said, "damn". That's the extent of the profanity reported by anyone other than the girl. And from the accounts I have read of her she is quite the special little snowflake to put it nicely.

They also investigated Cam Newton and reinstated his ineligibility one day after making him ineligible. Nothing new here

This is one of the most BS statements continually made by bama fans. The NCAA investigated that for a hell of a lot longer than one day. So had Auburn. Auburn declaring him ineligible then applying for reinstatement the next day was purely a procedural matter which they did "After the NCAA had concluded it's investigation." Anyone not able to understand that is either ignorant or just pretending not to understand it in order to act like a troll. Only the individual spouting it can say which is true.

[quote]What a shock. Which team is it you pull for again? LOL! Todd..... you know who I pull for. You also know while I play around sometimes, I'm not one to just bash the school just to bash them. You may not beleive it but if this happened in Tuscaloosa I would feel the same way.

The post that you quoted above (by Phil) never said that the "NCAA only investigated the matter for just one day" It said he was deemed eligible just one day after being found ineligible. I will also say that Any person that honestly believes that Cam had zero clue that his father had tried shopping him around is extremely naive at the very least and possible ignorant.
