central ala,
Does anyone know if there is any plans to extend the season in any of the northern zone counties?? Personally, I hope they do NOT. I am right across the line and I do NOT want it. I see no need for it any further north. I see no benefit to the herd.

I think there may be some extension in limited areas of the southeastern sections, but if any it will be very limited.

There is an article on this topic on Outdoor Alabama. Based on that article they want to keep it simple and see how this works for a while.

Need to run it till Feb 22 on rifles and then you can pick up your muzzleloader and hunt till Mar 1. Oh well, I can hunt NW Fl if they won't.

central ala,
At this point I'm surprised at the responses. I thought I would be alone in not wanting the Feb season extended further north. Hope the DCNR sees it our way.

Long as "they" leave Jackson Co. alone, I don't give a hoot what they do South of us. Same goes for two does a day, but I'm a little late on that one. mad

Don't bring it to Hale co. Or Tuscaloosa, Fayette, Pickens, and Greene counties either.

Just close the first 10 days of Dec completely and give us back Oct 15-24.

I'd be fine if it was only in a month. Give me more time to run my squirrel dogs on better land

We will burn that bridge when we get there
