This is one of the best times to be on the gulf coast. Mardi gras parades in Gulf Shores and Mobile the next few weekends. You can walk right into any restaurant without a wait plus lodging rates are cheap. I agree with this, and would much rather be at the beach this time of year than the spring or summer. But when I break through the surf ice, my head lights would come on, and nobody wants to see that.
