I know of some really big deer killed in safford last weekend, so I would assume they are starting to act right. That's great to hear. I'll be down this weekend, I'm fired up.

Macon county small bucks moving no shooters and no signs of chasing We've started seeing some chasing. Not any big boys yet but lots of younger bucks. We are over towards Tallassee.

Deer finally seen chasing today at our Orrville club. One girl had 4 racks chasing her. Only 3 remain after a good 9 pt died.

The chase is over in the 3 areas of Dallas county I hunt. They always chase the same time every year. In Marion Junction, its around the 10th. Just west of Selma, the peak is usually the 3rd week of January. The 19th seems to always have been that magical day for us. Usually on that day we will have some bone on the ground or come back bitching because we screwed up.
