Ok, I have always used poly twine or net wrap. Mainly for the $$ of it and durability. But I have a friend who feeds a lot of hay, around 400+ bales a year. He uses sisal "grass" twine and he doesn't cut the strings off. Just feeds it. To my knowledge in the 8 years I have known him, he has never had a problem with a cow chokeing. I had a heifer choke to death prob 10 years ago on a poly twine string. But I cut it off no matter what. How do y'all do it?? Just wandering.
