I would much rather have a used Jeep than something like those things.

For a 3rd of the price to. Been using a 97 grand Cherokee past 4 years with a small lift and tires. Much better to ride in on those cold mornings then a ranger or bbb ever thought about

You ever think that just maybe we use these for more than just hunting?

Hunting
Joy riding at the club.
Work days at the club hauling seed and trimming trails
Retrieving deer from places a jeep can't go
Drinking beer
Trail riding
Neighborhood riding
Utv park
Yard work
Did I mention drinking beer while trail riding in the off season?

Tough to do all that when it's in the shop more than the trail. Haul seed with a golf cart??? Must not be hauling much. Didn't think those things were known for their payload.. yet to see one that stays charged/working going up and down hills/trails all day. To each his own I guess.

You guys just really have NO idea at where all a Polaris Ranger WILL go...or, how tough they are!!!!

At the Wounded Warrior Hunt.......all the Vets decided that I should have been in the Military. They said that there is no doubt in there mind that I would have been THE best Tank driver EVER!!! smile

10-4. I can see the recreational aspect with the rangers, but they're just a little too rich for my blood. At least brand new they are... dang car payment for something like that. I wanna see the pics of you guys riding that thing in 15 degree weather.. nice ride you got there though. First time I've seen an orange one

I just sold my ranger and bought a 97 wrangler to replace it this week.

Thanks. So far 27 degrees is the coldest and neither my wife or 9 year old son didn't complain. Mine was a bank repo. A good friend of mine got it still an auction for way less than what the first owner paid. It had 60 miles on it I think. If I don't join a hunting club next season I may sell it. Payment Is only $201 a month with 2.49% apr. The payment ain't a big deal but I ain't keeping it if it's not going to get used.

not to hijack, but why is the 900 so much quieter than a 800 or 700? design?

Different motor. Runs a hell of a lot smoother. The motor may be the same as the 900 rzr but not sure. I had the 900 rzr before this ranger and they sound a lot alike.

What do you like better about the Ranger compared to the RZR? I'm wanting to get one this summer and was originally thinking RZR, but now leaning towards Ranger for the extra hauling room and more seating for the dogs to ride along in the summer

The placement of the motor makes the cab noise MUCH less, too!

I rode 2.5 miles in my boat the other morning before daylight in 13 degree weather to hunt. My Ranger would have seemed like a Lexus!!! LOL

I went from a ranger to the rzr and back to the ranger. I bought the rzr just to play with during the summer and I knew immediately that I would go back to a ranger. That rzr was a hell of a lot of fun but it will only carry two butts and a tiny cooler. It was scary fast and a smooth ride but just not practical for me. Hog is correct. The motor placement also helps in the noise and the cab stays a hell of a lot cooler in the summer time. Throttle response, torque, acceleration and raw power is so much better on the 900.

I have the Beast and did a lot of research on them as well as the others. The BBB a friend of mine has stay broke down all of the time. The EV does not have a good warranty. They are nice for what they are designed to do. They are not mud all day or ride all day type machines. But to ride in and out real quiet they are awesome. Mine has done great so far in the hills of Choctaw County. I hope mine stays together for a while. All of those mentioned are expensive to a country boy.
