Checked a trail cam near the stand I'm in today before climbing. Just checked the pics. Big buck at 422am. Am i wasting my time? Are they nocturnal? Sit and wait? I really think he may be cruising. The rut should be kicking in hard in limestone co. What should i do? Hunt the stand, you know there's a good one in that vicinity. Hunt as long as you can, and when you see him, give him a dirt nap.

Got a buck grunting up a storm in the thick stuff around me but haven't seen him yet. Saw 1 deer earlier though.
It is easier to fool a man than to convince him he has been fooled.

Sitting in hardwoods this morning. One year ago today I killed the biggest buck of my life (maybe one day I'll show y'all a picture of it!) I'd love to just see some deer this morning. My spot today:
Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Proud crossbow hunter!

Sitting on a gf watching a hardwood draw, with a thick clear cut in front of me. I am going to sit until lunch. Your girlfriend must really be committed to the relationship.
Love God. Love people. Serve Christ.

Camped at little coon camp last night. Dang it was brutal cold. Hiked up mtn early. I'm sitting on a seat strapped to a tree in the middle of some 5-10 year cutover hoping all the hunters drive them towards me. Ain't nobody anywhere near me, very peaceful and cold.
I'm not comfortable but I'm not hurting. Stripped when i got here, dried off the sweat, put on cold gear. UA infrared then goose down suit then merino wool then bibs.
Can't think of a better way to spend my 53rd birthday
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...
