Public land hunting mostly and natural browse. I have logged around 180 hours in a stand and killed 5 , lost 2 , missed 1. Let a lot walk this year compared to previous years. I'm by far no trophy hunter, give me a 2 1/2 year old deer and up and I'm slinging an arrow most of the time. Killing a mature doe with a bow is better than any mature buck with a gun while sitting in a shooting house, but that's just my opinion  and your not necessarily going to kill a 3 1/2 year old buck or older on a green field unless you spend endless hours hunting on it or have a rabbit's foot in your pocket with some prime hunting property.
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!
