I hope they take into consideration that this isn't his first rodeo and charge him as an adult. Could be the best thing that ever happened to him. Could be the worst too. 3-4k dollars to a kid that age could seem like an impossible feat. It's not anything the legal system can fix. He's the only person that can fix it. Nobody can make him do it by fines, boot up his ass, or jail time. Might be catalysts, but not his saving grace.
