Do you actually think the "people" of Cuba have any choice in our relations with them? Cuba is run by the Communist government not by the people! I am sure the people of Cuba would love to become a democracy ASAP but it ain't happening. Probably the same kind of talk that the Brits were having circa 1775. When a people have the desire, resources, and motivation to fight off an oppressive government, they will. Heck, look at the blowback patriotic Americans are giving to the Feds right now.
