Posts like this are why I have not posted anything on this board in awhile. What was wrong with saying "hey man sorry for your loss" and if you truly weren't sorry then just going to the next topic. Sometimes reading things like this people can take them out of context and if some folks weren't being rude then possibly choose some better words to describe it next time. Either way I hate this guy lost something he cared about and hopefully he can find another cat or something to feel the void or at least come close to filling it. To the original poster I hope the next few days and weeks get a little easier for you.

Common sense would probably tell you deep down neither does he. I am sure if he had to choose between a child and an animal he would choose the child. That aside your feelings of such do not add one thing to this situation.

Second: Those that are mocking him because he loved his cat and it died just because you do not like cats. Seriously, one it is someone that is hurt over a loss, a member on this forum that is supposed to be filled with good Christian men. Why not take the high road and offer condolences and keep your damn opinion of cats to your self. Or at least make a new post with your cat hating rhetoric.

Lastly, if you want to call him a queer for going on some guy or a shirt he wears and give people a hard time fine. This however just has me baffled why you all are acting this way. I could give a shit about a cat, last one I had I fed to my rotties for pissing on my bed but damn this is just ridiculous.

I would say you all are just a bunch of damn douchebags but I am mainly just disappointed in you all.

I just don't get it. Is this some damn weird joke I am not getting? SMDH

No, you have it right. There are some schit-eating sonofabitches on here that would be crying and posting that damn rainbow bridge poem if it was a dog.

I don't care if it's a dog, cat, chicken, or monkey, my pets are not my kids, and will never be compared as such. I will not go in depression over some animal either, let's get a grip people.

Sure you wouldn't want a proper burial....or a church service... Seems more appropriate here...

If you read a lot of those there were people criticizing the dogs owner in that. Same could be done here with a 20 pound cat. IMHO there's a big difference in a cat and a well trained high dollar dog. One died of old age the other shot by a sorry scum bag sob. BIG DIFFERENCE

Yea there are differences but in both threads there were people that were sad over injuries/ death of their pets especially dogs and then in this one people are being douchbags just cause it's a cat. People on the arrowed dog said what they'd to to people if they caught them doing that to their dog and how'd theyd whoop their ass and shoot me back etc...kinda sounds like something you'd do if someone arroweed a family member etc. I lost my pet a few weeks ago so I'm a little compassionate right now. However a 20lb cat does sound a bit unhealthy.

I really don't think he was equating his cats existence to that of a child's existence. He did say "four legged". I could be mistaken, but I don't think Ian has ever mentioned having any children(human), so to him that is his child. That's how I think most people who care a lot about their pets took it anyway. In other words, most seemed to have understood Ian using empathy.

no one on this forum honestly thought he was comparing a stupid a$$ cat to a child. I believe most here have some common sense. I don't care if some one likes a damn cat. I hate them, all of them. I threw out the queer comment because of the way he carried on about the situation. if he would have replaced the word cat with dog, yes I would have felt sorry for him. but getting depressed over a damn cat is just weird unless you are a child or female. these are my opinions that I am entitled to. If the original thread would have read "I lost my favorite pet today guys and this sucks" I doubt he would have gotten any crap from anybody.

what the hell do you expect from a group of guys on a deer hunting forum? some of you get butt hurt so easily some times. can you imagine one of your hunting buddies showing up at hunting camp literally crying over a dead cat? LOL!!!

and as far as "douchebags" or "scummbags" or whatever the name calling was, how bout grown a$$ men crying over a damn football game? my god! 99% of you that piss and moan about college sports have never even played a second of college sports in your life. cry over a game on tv, now that is some douchebaggery.

I feel sure Ian is way above letting insults from a bunch of insensitive rednecks bother him. I have really enjoyed this thread, it has opened my eyes to the mentality of the majority of posters.
