Another vote for Work Sharp. Bought one after a 30 second demo.

I've had one of these for around 8 years. They are awesome. My hunt club buddies used to make me bring it to deer camp and would line up wanting to use it.

Dont let the price fool you, this thing works. I like to use an Arkansas stone but for a quick edge on my EDC knife this is the go to. It stays on my desk and is used a lot.
sure sharp

I have a work sharp but unlike others I think its a waste of money. If you like a rounded edge its alright, but I like a flat edge on my knifes like factory. the belts with the work sharp are so flimsy they will not put a flat edge on your knife. It does sharpen them but not like a disc sharpener would for almost the same price.

four of us at work pitched in and bought one to leave here and it has been used a few times but overall we are not happy with it. Maybe we havent used it enough to learn the technique.

The work sharp has a bit of a learning curve but once you get it right you wont use anything else. The new "Ken Onion" edition work sharp remedies some of this.

Mine has certainly helped me building knives in many ways... shaping and polishing as well.

I like DMT products. I used to have a sharpening card they make. I carried it in my wallet just like a credit card. Works great when you are out somewhere and need to touch up a knife.

i use a homemade strop made with tandy leather and green polishing compound stick from lowe's to finish my blades.
to get 'em there, i use leather pad or mouse pad with 600, 1000 and 2000 wet dry sandpaper, and rem oil.
to get 'em to that point, i use a dmt coarse/fine hone.

whether scandi, flat or saber grind, a little homemade kit like this will keep 'em in fine shape. lots of tutorials on the web.
