Actually, a 5' would probably do the trick, and the deer could jump onto your property to get away from the dogs. Who just leveled the playing field?
That's actually a great idea if you could afford it. Imagine how pissed off those dog hunters would be. Then when they deploy the legendary "my dogs can't read signs" you can tell them their deer don't either. Of course then they're going to slash your tires and burn your camp down for "shooting their deer".
I think if you're dealing with an inconsiderate redneck that would turn dogs loose on a few acres like that you're screwed.
