Dogs killing healthy adult deer doesn't make sense to me. In the 5 years I hunted deer with dogs, the dogs caught zero deer. Never bayed any either.
Due to timing the shoot, shovel & shut up (SSS), really hacked me off. I have heard that nonsense too often. You better get use to it! lots of people will not tolerate dogs on their huntimg land. They just shoot them and let them rot. The other day i had a black lab follow me in to a stand. I just called it over, kicked it and it ran-off! I could have choosen to shot it , but I did not want to ruin my hunt.  For someone to shoot one of my dogs, they will have to aim between the welded wire of the kennels. They will also have to trespass to do so.
