I have faith in you fur. You will be putting up some pictures tomorrow for us to see how proud you are. Just let him lay tonight and make the recovery in the morning. Keep us posted.

Shot one several years ago that Bulldozed like you described but I did find hair and bone but no blood. I looked and looked for several hours. Finally went to the truck and ate lunch, called for a dog and went back in to look. Started making widening circles looking for any sign of the Buck and finally found him about 20 yards behind where I had shot him. It looked like a horror movie with all the blood around him where he lay. It was easily 15 feet up in the trees and around him in all directions. He had run across the clearing I shot him in, got in the creek and made a complete circle coming back into the clearing almost to where I had shot him, bled out and died.
Like the others have said, she broke shoulders. My shot broke shoulders, sliced his heart and sent bone into his lungs. He is dead and not far away.
Hunt'em hard when they are hard to hunt but never, ever hardly hunt!

If your decoy doesnt have holes in it, your not letting him get close enough... J.H.

If you need help in the morning, I'm just west of Guntersville. Let me know if you need help.

Don't beat yourself up. You could have let her target practice for two months straight and it still wouldn't have eliminated that buck fever you both got.
