Second time I drew back on a deer this morning and had my second clean miss. Sent one right over a does back. Had my hha set to 30 and forgot to compensate an inch or so down, she was standing at 20. Also rushed the shot cause they were moving pretty good, need to really take my time next time.
Saw a big buck with a tall rack after 20 minutes in the tree about 70 yards away. Also got my first bow kill officially , but it was a dang coyote. Pretty good shot too, he was moving at a dog trot at 22 yards and I put one thru his chest.
By far the most action I've had on a hunt this year. Saw 4 total plus the tote. Good times! Now I just need to connect with a dang deer. At least this new spot seems to be a honey hole. I am no way a professional bowhunter and I just recently got my 1st kill..however I have no problem going with you to the honey hole and trying to sling an arrow ..just letting you know.. What part of Tusco County if you don't mind me asking. We hunt on the extreme northern end of the county where 43 crosses into Fayette.
