I guess I have given up killing a huge buck with my bow because I've started carrying my Walkman and listening to JOX radio during the day. I still watch for movement and I can hear some with only one ear bud in. I guess a shot at a doe is all I'm really looking for.
I just enjoy being in a tree with no worries!
Life is good!

If that's what makes you happy while being there, have at it!!
I couldn't do that. I'd be a nervous wreck not being able to hear everything.

Lol. I have brought my laptop and watched movies before. Bow hunting in a ground blind. Still saw deer. It's what you do that makes you happy.

I don't, but with my hearing loss, it really would not matter. I see them before I ever hear them.

If Georgia has a big game I usually listen to it in the stand. Just turn it real low and only put one ear bud in.

It dives me crazy sometimes on Sat. missing a game but to me 70% of hunting is using your ears. Saw 12 deer so far this year on my small lease, and 8 of those I heard before I saw them. I had 2 blow at me so far to let me know I was busted. But I do have a problem with my phone and ALDEER

Playing on the phone probably messes me up more. It takes my attention away from the woods and there movement involved. When I'm listening to a game I'm pretty focused on what's going on around me and I can still hear pretty well with my phone on very low volume.

If I'm in a shooting house, during rifle season, I might listen to a ballgame with them in, but if I'm in a tree, no way.
