Ok Mirage243, here is my reasoning. I hunt for food. we harvested off of our land 5 deer last year, one 9 point, 1 3 point and 3 does. That much meat lasted until this month. Only because I was able to supplement with some wild hogs that another member of this forum provided to me. I don't hunt racks and don't care about them. Sure if I see a big rack I'll shoot it, generally because it is a bigger deer. More meat.
As far as 8 points and larger only, that would be a really ignorant way to manage a deer herd as you would then have too many small bucks breeding and would slowly run out of deer to hunt. Additionally as the herd grows larger from lack of harvesting you would have increased disease, reduced body size and poorer racks because of the limited food available for the deer.
Since very few folks take the time or money to fertilize and lime the WMA's there would be an even worse affect for the public hunting areas.
Finally, if you had take the time to ask a knowledgeable wildlife biologist that same question he/she would have have explained the same things to you that I just did.
So judging from the really childish comments you put in just above you really have no clue why so many folks don't think your question or comments were needed. Seems to me you are just trying to stir.
