My fanny pack is just about shot. Debating on back pack, larger fanny pack, or bow hunting vest to carry my gear. What do you use?

Fannypack. I use a Blacks Creek All American. I love it.

I've hunted with a fanny pack for years. This year I switched to a backpack (Badlands) bc the past couple years I've been sweating to death walking in, so now I carry my outers strapped on my pack and carry mid layers inside. Also, this is my first year bow hunting and climbing more, so the fanny pack wouldn't fit the extras that came with bow and climbing (straps, rope, saw, rangefinder, etc etc etc). My wife started hunting with me last year and it was a huge pain to get both of our gear in and out of the woods. And this year we plan to hunt separate sometimes so she gets the fanny pack for her necessities.

Backpack when I'm hunting loc-on's or a climber I already have set up. Nothing when I'm packing a stand in. I use the pouches on the stand.

I used the Cabelas bow vest for years and do like it. But when hunting from climbers (which I often do) it gets a bit tight when sitting/standing, so I went to this mid size backpack. Not too big, but plenty of room and has compartments to keep things organized. Only one hunt with it so far, but I think it will do the trick.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I bought a harness fanny pack from Cabela's and love it.
