Is it safe to assume if my truck is parked near the entrance to the trail no one else is going to walk in on me hunting over the trail?
Absolutely, that's a solid assumption. Matter of fact, I borrow several vehicles during the weekend and park them at gates just to have the areas to myself. People on public lands typically have the highest courtesy for others.
