Trying to decide between the 2. The Razors Edge is less than half the price of a Mathews Passion bare bow and it comes fully rigged. Don't mind spending the money on it as long as I know its a better bow. The R.E. is fully adjustable but I don't know it the Mathews requires a different cam for different draw lengths.

The Mathews should have a draw length specific cam. Who are you shopping for? Your wife, daughter, or who? If they are not through growing get them something with plenty of adjustibility. I just bought my daughter a Parker Sidekick Extreme in pink. 18-28 inch draw & 20-40# draw weight. Excellent bow for the money. Check it out.

It's for my wife that weighs about 105# soaking wet. I took her to BPS a while back and let her play with a few bows. She measures 23.5 and could pull 35#. I know the weight will increase after she practices some.

You may not want to invest that much on her first bow. But comparing the Passion to the the Razors Edge is like comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Mercedes E Class. Nothing wrong with the Razors Edge. It is what is, a good adjustable entry level bow. As stated before, the Passion has a drawlength specific cam on it. You will not need drawlength adjustability with her. If she can pull 35# now, a Passion with 40# limbs will be all she will ever need. The Passion is the same bow as the DXT, but with a 1" shorter brace height. If she is serious about bow hunting, the Passion would be a much better choice.

My mom is 62 years old and hunts with a Passion set on 42# with a 25" draw.
