From a cur dog site..could have been any breed though.

What would you do? A friend that bought one of the Sniper pups that I raised called me a moment ago said he turned her loose while feeding and cleaning kennel he heard her holler out and he called for her to come when she got there she had been shot by a bow hunter he lives in a neighborhood where most lots are around five acres or so he is pretty sure who did it she is on the way to the vets office was a pass thru mid way of her body she was a tree dog for sure hope she can be patched up without any side effects don't get me wrong I am a bow hunter too and have been messed up on hunts by dogs too but in my thoughts it takes a sorry individual to do something like this but I remind myself of a verse in the Bible that says "vengeance is mind saith The Lord"

The rest of the story was that the vet said the arrow missed vitals and would possibly pull thru. Big Vet bill.

If I was hunting with her and she got shot I'd have blown him off the side of the tree

I would have at least invited him down for a talk, this guy is bow hunting on a 5 acre residential lot.

Everybody thinks I'm crazy because I'd kill someone that shot my squirrel dog but I would.

Well I just hope that never happens, you would have plenty of time to remember her. I do like dogs more than most people I know though!

It would be ugly for the person who did it. I don't know what I would do but it wouldn't have a good outcome for the person who shot the dog.

if I knew without a doubt who did it, his nurse at the hospital would be fishing his teeth out of his stool in his bedpan.

I found someones coon dog one evening on a wma hunt. Called the owner and told him where it was. I had it tied to the hitch on my truck. Long story short, some Ahole shot it with a bow while I was hunting and untied it where it could run off. I found it about 40 yards from the front of my truck. Some dogs need killing but to shoot a mans huntin dog is asking for a ER visit.

I've got the picture of the dog standing in the back of the truck with the arrow sticking out of it.

That's defiantly not right, but I can't understand why people don't keep their dogs kenneled up.

Oakachoy, I sure hope the dog pulls through....I don't even know where to begin in regards to the low life that did this. Bugman, I hope that isn't one of your dogs in that picture. I would not want to how I would handle a situation like this.....pitiful !

I thought about pointing this out last night but decided to let em slide. Hell, if you kept dogs in a kennel all their lives what good would it do to even have a dog? There might be a time and place for needing to put a dog down, but I don't think a subdivision qualifies.

The shooter outta be pretty easy to track down since the arrow was left in the dog.
