Need to know somewhere within a 4 hour drive of Birmingham to buy Treated Pilings for docks. Need 10" diameter 15' pilings.

Midway lumber in Spanish fort. Outside of Mobile. That's who I use. Could probably deliver depending on the order. One of the owners family has posted here before.

Alfa lumber in B'ham will treat lumber for you to use. I build boathouses, sea walls, and piers. We use regular treated lumber unless someone specifies they want something different. I believe Alfa calls it "critical treatment" or something like that. They'll have 6x6's and possibly 8x8's if u want to go that big.

May be a place in Montevallo, I know a lot of poles go there but not sure about pilings. Another timber guy may chime in and know.

I am planning on digging the boat house back into the bank and doing a wet slip. We get a lot of current at times in this area. I am planning on building a 30x31 2 slip boat house. I'm going to leave a 10' dam and dig out the 30x31 portion and auger in the post and set them in concrete 5' deep. I imagine I will still get some water flow through the dam so I plan on pumping what comes through. Is my idea completely crazy?

I have only worked on the coast so there would be a lot of pumping water involved with that plan here because of groundwater seepage. I would have the pilings driven in.
