Some people cut the balls off when field dressing a buck. Very common. otherwise, how are you supposed to throw them at a buddy :)-

Well, FWIW, yes. I always remove them... That's the very first thing i do. I always split the pelvis also, but I know alot of ppl dont. BTW, a cod sack makes a nice, soft shifter knob cover.
