Are y'all keeping up with this? This new respiratory disease, D68, may be causing paralysis in children that contract it. It scares me to death for my 3 grandkids. All these illegal kids in our public schools that have never been vaccinated for anything. And the bastards in the federal government just will not seal our border.

So many people have inboxed asking what's happened with Kinley. Im posting this bc Kinley is resting for a little bit. This will be a long post but feel free to share so more people will understand. Kinley started with a mild headache on Sat, Sept 13. She also had a headache on Sunday night after church. I was drying her hair and she told me it hurt. I took her to Dr Kerr Monday Sept 15th he thought it was viral. We also had to go to Florence to Mr Mallette that evening for 6 months ENT check up. Kinley has asthma and allergies and is on shots. He could tell because of her eye weakness something was wrong and said viral also. Gave her steroid shot and we came home. She had stopped eating and drinking Monday. Tues Sept 16th she woke at 645 am and came into my bathroom walking almost sideways and told me her head was dizzy to hold her. I called back to Dr Kerrs they said bring her on. He felt she had meningitis bc the neck had stiffened and sent us to Bham. We made it to Children's and they admitted her Tues eve and was sure it was meningitis it's was just waiting to see if it was viral or bacterial. Many test later Kinley was confirmed of having transverse myelitis. A day later she was also confirmed of entero virus. We are awaiting to see if its the D68 that has hit the country. If so it's a lot worse on asthma patients. Both these are viral and there is NO cure for either virus. They can only treat the symptoms that the viruses cause to her body but not the virus. Having 2 bad viruses here's the break down as short term as I can put it. The entero virus is all respiratory. It has collapsed Kinleys left lung a couple times. Also has caused her to go on complete life support. She is not breathing any on her own. The transverse myelitis is strictly neurologic. It attacks the spinal cord. This is what has caused her to lose ALL mobility. She can move her eye balls and her toes only. There has been 112 cases since 1990. The specialist over neuorogoly (for myelitis) told us she has been specializing in this for 30+ years and Kinley was by far the worst case she had ever seen. The head PICU doctor told Coty and I this morning she had been n the PICU for 32 years and Kinley was without a doubt top of the line the sickest child she had ever had. The problem is both viruses is trying to dominant the other, so its a battle to keep everything with vitals and lungs stable. We have went from being here days, to weeks, and now they are saying months. I have shortened this down as much as possible. Any more questions please go back on my page to day 1. I have posted everything from day 1 that we know. The doctors tell us they never seen 2 viruses this bad together. We do not and will never know where Kinley got these viruses. I don't think vaccines are a factor in this. Is there a vaccine for D68? Now for measles ,mumps, chicken pox and other illnesses you may have a point.

It's running through the kids in our school system and has been for a couple weeks. Atlanta is deep in it too. Most kids get sick with it and are ok within a few days but some have not responded as well to treatment and have had to be hospitalized.
