One game boys, been one game and gloom and doom.
For a first game I thought Bama looked pretty good. Secondary needs some work and Depriest coming back will help allot. Bend but don't break is the order of the day with HUNH offenses. Flashy defensive statistics won't matter anymore.
O line looked good and Sims will only get better. Mobility in a QB is damn near paramount in today's game.
This wasn't a jamboree last night..there are no do-overs.

I'll tell you one player who wants Coker in and that's Amari Cooper. You could tell he was pretty disgusted with Sims on several occasions. Maybe you should let Cooper speak for himself.......one more catch and he would have broken a school record ... He easily would have broken it with a decent QB throwing to him. He missed him on 2 wide open routes with terrible passes And you are sure that would not have happened with Coker in there........evidently Saban wasn't No, but I would have liked the opportunity to see for myself. Sims is a mediocre QB and Bama will go 9-3 with him at QB. They have no deep threat with him. Just look at what WV did, they had all 11 players within 8 yards of the line of scrimmage the whole game.

I don't fault Saban for not playing Coker, with the game being so close putting in another rookie QB could have cost them the game. Many of the talking heads have stated that they think that Coker will be the starter by the time Bama gets into the harder part of the schedule. Time will tell

What is comical is to see you bammers spin Sims QB play. Marshal is a runner first. he is not there for his arm. Maybe Trickett has a year of eligibility left? Saban is brilliant. If you cant beat a team, poach some players off a team that did. It is comical to read the barners opinions about Sims. Yesterday he completed 73% of his passes in his first college start with 250 yards and a couple of drops, yet marshall's last year stats were 59% completions and yesterday he had 67% completions. Hail or hell marshall.

This team drops 3 or 4 with Sims at qb. He should have put Coker in at least a couple of series. Not trying to be Debbie Downer but this team doesn't look very good with the exception of the running backs and Cooper. Why don't they throw to tight ends anymore? They've had all the off season to prepare and that's the best they could do with a hurry up offense? Auburn will kill them. Roll Tide Oh yeah, West Virginia sucked, that's why Sims stats seemed good.
