Tore a hammy once... a good 6 months for recovery and a purple grapefruit sized bruise kept migrating down my leg. It scared the crap out of me. I thought it was a blood clot.
Southern Ortho has some good Docs. I see one of them for my knees and he is a die hard Bow Hunter. I'm not sure what they can do for a torn muscle though. Good luck.
