As far as the hard to get and smart old hogs, they are not hard to get with Thermals and night vision in the feilds. That might be true for ag fields but come to Washington and Choctaw county where it is mostly thick woods and swamp and see how easy they are!!! I agree 100% with that in swamp and thick places dogs COULD have there uses! I have used my friends Flir Scout PS24 thermal, lots of times in the woods to kill hogs with PVS-14,PEQ-15 , and Aimpoint on AR-15s. As long as you keep the wind right this WORKS very well on hogs.IM not trying to argue dogs are not effective at all. Im simple stating that MOST times trapping is more effective AND less intrusive. It all so gets more hogs per day . As I said earlier BODY count= number of hogs per day is what most land owners want.
