I've tried this for years but I have been unsuccessful. Anyone have some advice and/or cool story from bow hunting from the ground.

1st time ever bow hunting I sat at the base of a big old pin oak that had a big canopy almost all the way to the ground. Cut out a shooting window and used a camo umbrella as a blind. Had a 130" 8pt come to 13 yards after an hour of sitting;when I went to draw my bow,my arrow wasn't knocked on my string all the way and it went clanging against my bow and roots. Deer laughed at me as he ran off and he was killed on the same field opening day of ML.. to this day,I haven't had a shot at buck that size with a bow in my hand at that range... tough lesson learned

Get VERY hidden. Bow in hand and no naps, aldeer, or phone playin. Make sure you can shoot sittin down and have enough room to do so. If the wind is swirling, you might as well leave. Make sure you already know yardage to different places. Won't be any way to get away with all that movement trying to range the deer. If I hunt from the ground, I make a "blind" with brush. Pop ups just draw too much attention IMO. It takes a lot of luck to kill one off the ground, but I've done it a couple times.

The first 3 deer I ever killed with a bow were all off the ground. All does but all of them were shot from a pse lighting 2 this is so long I had to get up on my knees to shoot.

I've killed a few off the ground with my bow. Ive gotten to where I don't just sit and wait for them.if I'm in the woods I'll just slip around with my recurve and hunt them like that. It's a heck of a lot more exciting than hanging off the side of a tree

We will burn that bridge when we get there
