Has anyone used one that is accurate and user friendly and do you rely on it and have confidence in it? I've got the Trimble GPS hunt pro which is ok but I've seen some with solunar information, feeding times, and wind cones which looks to be very useful. Any suggestions or experience on these would be great!

I use Antler Insanity to mark stands and so forth. Also use it for wind direction. The satellite imagery seems up to date. It doesn't have feed times that I'm aware of, but honestly, I just hunt whenever I'm able to go. It's a free download, so if you don't like it, nothing's lost.

I also use OnX Hunt. It's not free, but it shows all landlines and landowners and is very accurate.

I have never heard of these - good info! And I'm all about some free stuff!

I use Antler Insanity for marking stands, too. I have Scoutlook, too. I used to use one called iSolunar for Primary and Secondary times.

The Official Outdoor Alabama Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife Guide also posts moon phases and feeding times. You simply click on Explore and it's one of the options. It also provides a GPS Map. Lastly, it can retrieve your hunting license for you in the event you need another copy printed out.

OnX has a free 6 day trial. Afterwards it's 35$.

I use "Best Hunting". It has a feeding index (rates 1-5 for the day), major and minor times, detailed moon & sun data, wind direction and speed. It uses your GPS location for the data.

Thanks for the input. Next question is how much battery life is used up on these apps? I know it doesn't take long to drain one, but I'm also thinking about a battery back up pack just in case.
