I just purchased a SxS and installed a windshield. Does anyone have an issue with towing a UTV with a windshield. I almost didn't purchase it when the dealer told me I may consider removing it for interstate travel. Most of my use will be traveling county roads between 55-60 mph, so I didn't think it would be a problem and would be great to have when hunting in cold weather or traveling behind someone on dusty roads. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I know a bunch of folks that have one. They just fold it down when they drive.

I've got a Ranger with a windshield. It defiantly kills my fuel mileage. Mine would be a project to take on and off every time I haul it, so that is not an option.

This is a full windshield, so folding is not an option.

I have a ranger with a windshield that is easily removable. I've had no trouble towing with it, but you'll pay at the pump. However, I have lost two tops.

I have a folding one on my golf cart and just fold it halfway down. I'm not sure I'd trust it all the way up going down the interstate.

It should just pop off, no?

No, it was quite the chore to get it on too.

Same here hawg. I carry the ranger to Andalusia every now and again. 3/4 tank one way with it. Less than a half without

I tow a Kubota RTV with a full cab a lot and I get around 13 mpg towing it.

I had one on my golf cart; like towing a parachute. I took off the windshield and threw it and the top away. Couldn't see any need for a windshield on something with a top speed of 24 mph. And I really can't see any use for the top; with no sides, it won't help a bit in rain.

I like it a lot better like this:

Speed will make a huge difference in the mileage you get. My Tundra would tow the UTV as fast as I wanted to go. At any speed over 70mph, you could literally watch the gas gauge fall. Traveling the same routes with the same load at speeds at 60mph and below, the mileage was night and day.
